Do I need my own equipment to start?
Nope. We provide all the gear you’ll need for your lessons and practice sessions at the academy. Once you’re ready to invest in your own setup, we’ll help you choose the right equipment for your goals and budget.
How long are the courses?
Our DJ 101 and DJ 201 courses typically run 4 weeks. Private lessons and one-day experiences like Sip & Spin can be booked individually.
Is there an age requirement?
Our programs are open to students ages 10 and up. Many of our students are adults looking to pursue DJing as a hobby or career, so you’ll find a wide range of ages and backgrounds in every class.
Do you help students find gigs or performance opportunities?
Yes! Soundworks is deeply connected to the local Dallas music scene. Through networking events, live showcases, and partnerships with venues, we help our students gain exposure and start performing live.
What makes Soundworks different from other DJ schools?
