Problem
Your client is dismissed from her job because of what she feels is sexual harassment.  But, of course, it's her word against that of the harassing supervisor. That is, until you hear her say, "I recorded everything on one of those tiny digital recorders." But that's precisely where the trouble starts - Sure, you can hear every word your client says but, unfortunately, not the supervisor who makes the offending statements...

No Problem
From the latest in digital enhancement software and techniques to simply leveling volumes of the recorded parties, Sound Works has been enhancing poorly-recorded and problem audio files for over 20 years! We continue to be amazed at the advances being made in this field and currently utilize three of the top software lines. We start the process with a low fixed-price EVALUATION of your audio file. We send you A/B comparison audio clips via cd or email to demonstrate the level of enhancement we are able to achieve. We also provide a final-cost estimate, as well as advise you on how to minimize your client's expense, should you decide to proceed. Our final product to you can be furnished in a trial-ready format, with cues and indexes, so you'll never stumble before the judge and jury! With our decades of experience, we also provide expert-witness testimony in the event your litigation goes to trial.

Forensic Audio Enhancement and Restoration

For more than 15 years, Sound Works has been the premiere expert audio enhancement and restoration facility for the legal industry.

Our multi-faceted audio toolbox includes:

  • Digital filters

Noise is not the same on all recordings, so we like to first evaluate your recording before estimating the cost of cleanup.

Here is the process of evaluation:

  1. Deposit of $150.00 is required to begin. This is a non-refundable deposit and can be applied to any subsequent audio restoration services.
  2. The tape audio is loaded into our digital workstation and various combinations of our audio toolbox are applied to a segment.
  3. The resulting cleaned-up segment can be listened to by you in order to discover the level of restoration and to determine if you wish to proceed with the rest of the project.

  4. We can accurately estimate your project after our evaluation. Clients are not obligated to do any work past the evaluation stage.

Give us a call and we can discuss options and price ranges with you.
We do not quote exact numbers on this web site because all noise is not created equal.

We can also provide expert witness testimony as needed. This is quoted on a per job basis.
